Little miss Bambi is everyones favourite face these days….and we love her just as much too! So we would share this cute outtake of her from the latest NO magazine editorial ( styled by the clever Zara Mirkin and shot by the Cobrasnake) in the Ksubi unisex classic denim jacket. Love her…love the jacket too! Enjoy xx

Lunch today…

At the ohhh soo yummy new French grocer on Jervois Road in Herne Bay.

La Boulange is a must visit!! Charlie lives above it, so naturally he made us all very jealous when he arrived at work raving of fresh pastries and the likes. So we took a trip down there for lunch and we’re très impressionné. This little gem of a find is filled with freshly baked pastries (right out of the oven as we arrived too!), handmade french baguettes, decent coffee and lots of other traditional bits and pieces to make your mouth water.

Into at the mo…

Fast becoming one of our favourite weekly to – dos…

Here’s what we’re loving at the mo…

Bluebird days and winter snow.  Charlie snapped this one on his way up the mountain in the weekend and kindly emailed it through to make us very jealous… How good does it look!!

Turquoise jewellery. A nice change in amongst gold and silver…

Phrenology…This amazing Phrenology head that we ordered just arrived this morning! Its currently sitting on my desk and I’m having to resist the urge to jump on google and start researching more into it. It’s so fascinating…I want one for home too.

Wine cellars. There is something very old worldly and wintery about them don’t you think? We went to a very cool one recently at Cable Bay on Waiheke island. So worth a visit!

Bright red nails. Always! I can’t remember the last time I mixed it up…but I never tire of freshly painted red nails.

Winter rainbows. When visible morning sunrises are few and far between during winter…it’s nice to wake up to this instead!

The Statue of Liberty. This ones especially for Ricks and Onny, who are in New York at the moment! Wohhoo.

Farm houses and country living. Wouldn’t it be great to have a sprawling country house that you could escape to in the weekends? One that looked anything remotely like the pictures above wouldn’t go amiss either…

New Retro Superfuture glasses. We are excited to have a new range of these in again for summer! Watch this space. We saw both of the styles modelled above on Erin Wasson and Christine Centenerra and they are hot!!

A Canon G11 camera! This sexy little digi cam has all the bells and whistles of a big digital SLR but much less bulky and and handbag friendly. (Mum I know you read this…its my birthday soon!!)

Shakuhachi’s Spring/Sumemr collection 2010 ‘Love etc’. Enough said. Its everything we want to be wearing this summer and more.

Love etc…

Love etc…is the name of the , and seems quite a fitting way to sum up how we feel about the collection too. LOVE. Pretty pastel colours- check, summer dresses and hot body con minis too, this collection is both totally wearable and effortlessly cool.

With a soft palette of blush, marle against black and white, the collection also features french inspired florals thoughout. Draping and pleates reflect a modern, relaxed glamour while the panelling that is highlighted throughout the collection gives detail and clean lines to oversized silhouettes.

Plus….we love Bambi too! ( the model in the lookbook, how hot is she?), and now we want it all…

Sass and Bide staff style

With our first drop of Sass & Bides Tomorrow the Great collection just hit the store, its always nice to see how people wear and interpret pieces from the collection. Especially these who are lucky enough to work for Sass and Bide themselves, like the very lovely Jac here. Jac is Sass & Bides gorgeous communications manager. We spotted this wee post on Jac’s style here on the Sass and Bide blog and we just had to share- plus we love the fact she has picked the striped ‘Got that Beat’ palazzo pant as one of her faves, cause its one of ours too!

Enjoy! xx

Above: Sass and Bide ‘Got that Beat’ striped Palazzo pant, and ‘The Art Beat’ boyfriend tank.

I’m with the band.

We’ve noticed a bit of a rock n’ roll theme coming through for the summer months. Think groupie girl a la Penny Lane in Almost Famous. Ripped tees with vintage soft washes, beat up leather and denim, and the all important rock slogans and music prints. Its a little bit 70’s festival chic and a whole lotta rock and roll.

Join the ride…x Click through products to view in more detail.

P.s. And for a bit of music trivia for ya, one of our all time favourite MJ hits is famously about groupie girls. xx Enjoy

Bonne Bastille!

Get in the french spirit today in celebration of Bastille Day and do as the french do and add a little je ne sais quoi to your wardrobe…check the new season pieces below that are getting us in the mood.

What is not to love about all things French? French Champagne, French food, french kissing, french fries?… oui? Merci beaucoup and Joyeux Quatorze Juillet to you all!

Nothing says French quite like breton stripes, and navy, red and white! And they are still hot on the radar for summer!
